FWIW, Fakmiz, I've long wondered the same thing.Either CIBC is very undervalued or the rest of the big 5 are very overvalued. I think it's just market uncertainty and a dislike in the increase in price paid for Bancorp. Last year the price seemed to tank every time the price of oil dipped, in spite of the fact that CIBC's exposure to oil is only 2 % of its assets, according to Victor Dodig. My observation is that market swings often have little to do with fundamentals or long-term planning.
