This is Our CrewFrom Reuters...... https://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/companyOfficers?symbol=AUT.V
I spoke with a local financial officer this morning in Toronto and he told me he knows nothing about the company, just numbers. I've placed a call to Tony Wollacutt, their local legal council and director, who manages the listing with TSXV and other related matters. He has not called me back yet. He's a lawyer, so what do you expect..
The rest are in China, and not approachable. That does not make them out to be suspicious, but they are Chinese and they are used to handling themselves in a manner that is not what we would expect from a public company. For example, there is no IR.
Try doing some DD on Guilin International Company Limited or China Nonferrous Metal Guilin Research Institute of Geology for Mineral Resources or Guilin Investment Company Limited. Its almost impossible. I suspect they are State owned businesses... all the big interantional groups there are just that. This does not make them suspicious, just that they don't fit into our model of what a semi-transparaent public company might be.
Perhaps this is al better than having to listen to a Canadian CEO lie to you bald faced over the telephone.
I suspect though, given my own personal experiences with having done business with banks and the like and lived in China, that these people are here on behalf of the Middle Kingdom to get something done, and will have the resopurces to do it. When I talk with my financiers in China about getting behind projects the constant reminder is: "They take a very long time to make up their minds, but when they do, stand back"
This group has been looking at these properties for a very long time.
