Why ?I don't own this stock - however my question - why aren't there any mechanisms to prevent such situations from happening in the first place ? I know that investing in a stock market is a risk one takes and a stock taking a beat if a company does not meet earnings expectations or market corrections or changes in price of Gold & Oil can affect stock prices but surely the kind of occurrence that caused this to fall apart & caused loss to so many - there has to be some mechanism to put in place
