risk off risk onYesterday the share price rose, driven by a cautious hope that the Board would get the boot. Optimism slightly nudged out caution.
Today it is risk-on that the Board will survive and pessimism sets in.
It is all about the Board. The combo of management and the Board has been a disaster for a long time; soon closing in on a decade.
They are ashamed of themselves. They know how bad they are. But the shame does not go deep enough to give up highly paid jobs or easy money for Board members.
Ross Beaty is the villain in this. He has the power to shake things up. But so far, he remains the villian, unwilling to run a good business.
