The Tesla battery pack weighs 1200 lbs. The maximum wieght that trucks in Ontario are allowed is 80,000 lbs. Therefore the weight of the battery would be way too much for many truckloads as they would not be able to transport as much weight. One 18 wheeler can inflict the same pavement damage as between 8000 and 10000 cars. Until battery packs get much lighter I do not see electric trucks as being a threat to DYA.
