Last quarter numbers were around 2007 with approval to grow, so 3000 would be 50% growth from that. I'm only going by the 2500 as of mid-Feb would be halfway through quarter, so if same growth rate continues it will land roughly around 3000 by end of quarter (Mar 31st). It appears it certainly slowed down from 1000% growth from last quarter, but the article seems to suggest it's due to a backlog rather than lack of interest. Also you suggested that the 1.5% would maintain, but 3000 would put it closer to 2%, so there was some growth although less than I expected. According to the article though, interest among patients is about 25% (when it states a 1/4 of patients have requested it), so if even half of those interested get approval that could put us up over 10% of patients once the government gets through the backlog.
