Kronos Information

Kronos InformationLots of interesting informationon the Kronos website.

First, their core TI02 products for coatings range in TI02% from 82% to 95%
For plastics range from 90.5% to 97.5%
And for 'special grades' fro 89% to 99%

So Argex had 99.8% purity noted in their last presentaion and can achieve ALL product needs in all categories currently offered by Kronos easily, as long as their morphology is correct, which they have indicated it is.

Kronos also has a strong history of adopting new TI02 technology. They also indicated Quebec as a key source of ilmenite ore, which the RGX process uses.

They were pure sulfate in 1960, then adopted Chloride tech in 1987, reduced their sulfate unit by 50% in 1994 and ahve since been implementing by-product/wate control and other TI products. They have shown they are willing to adapt to survive.

There could be a lot of value in this partnership! Very exciting.
Of course, it is an old plant but all the environmental work is in-place and it will just be a matter of installing and comissioning the new equipment then producing and selling to exisiting customers and/or HELM and PPG
