I wasn't watching this trade today

I wasn't watching this trade today and a friend texted mentioning a run starting up, I jumped online and dumped my overbought position (never sell my core) can anyone fill me in on how this kicked off? A build up of bids that stepped up to the ask? Or a LeBeouf style large market order?
