WHy so many AXY shareholders get it wrong
WHy so many AXY shareholders get it wrongThe term "fatal flaw" is sometimes used to describe an ore body that is wonderful in most ways but it has one glaring bad point. It could be a remote location, a risky country, irregular grade, permitting risk, lack of water, etc.
AXY has a fatal flaw and investors keep missing it.
Positive commentaries are laden with how fabulous the assets are and how there is a prospect of fast growth. But, almost everyone, misses the fatal flaw.
The fatal flaw is "management". This is rarely addressed and when it is investors are often fawning over a great track record Ross Beaty had in a different business, mostly in a different era.
No commentary on any company is complete without a thorough dive into management abilities and flaws.
The ineptitude will likely be fatal eventually but it will be a slow death; 10 to 20 years before expiry.
