Do27 Sample Program - A historical Note of INterest

Do27 Sample Program - A historical Note of INterest It is also pretty well known that there were issues with the bulk sample from DO27 the one done in 2006 I believe. Long story short the sample was processed at EKATIs sample plant (not accredited like the SRC). The tracers that they put into the sample to test the effectiveness of the sample plant recovery were not retrieved to a satisfactory level indicating that they probably missed recovering diamonds as well. I have always been surprised that they did not do more work like another sample given this knowledge. But I think PGD realized in 2006 that the value per carat and the geography of the deposit were the limiting factors in advancing the project and that say 10% more in grade would not make up for these limitations. To conclude I have always thought that the grade of Do27 was higher than published.and I am pretty sure the sweet deal PGD for on Childiak/technology etc was the end result of the botched sample program in 2006.
