It looked much more like a trader or market maker who saw the set up i.e. saw the trend line, knew the Canadian market would be closed, saw some supply demand/liquidity imbalance, etc. Run through some buy stops and then sell on the momemtum.
In my humble opinion yesterday had pump and dump written all over it.
This stock is truly one of the weirdest I've ever encountered. I've owned it for a couple of years now, and for a long time now I thought a lot of the weirdness was due to the size of the float. Now, I'm not so sure.
