RE:Boeing: Bombardier can put us out of business... Read more aBoeing's argument for Bombardier putting them out of business is absurd. In a United competition that was between Bombardier and Embraer for a 100 seat aircraft Boeing doesn't even make, Boeing suddenly offered a rock bottom price on the 737-700, a 150 seat aircraft, and then claims that the price they "had to" offer undercuts the rest of the pricing on their own product line leading to a cascading affect across the line where they will lose money. Then they offered USED EMBRAER aircraft to Delta at a price 40% below market pricing for that plane, and Bombardier had to drop their price to compete. Then Boeing uses the fact that Bombardier lowered their price to compete with the USED EMBRAER planes as proof that Boeing can't maintain the price of the 737-MAX7 that Delta says wasn't even in the competition. In what world does this argument hold water?!
