Your statement is not based on reality. In reality, the energy cost savings to business would end up bringing in more tax dollars than the energy industries would pay. In reality, the cost savings to consumers would end up in more consumer demand and a more vibrant economy, resulting in more jobs. In reality, the standard of living would improve for all. We would see an unbelievable economic boom, as the savings would be distributed across the globe. Just think of low cost clean water for people and agriculture. Lower cost productivity in everything we do. There will be losers. Fossil energy asset holders will lose, but all others will be more profitable and more valuable.
