Stock Option Observations

Stock Option ObservationsJust skimmed the management circular for the upcoming AGM and the stock option item provoked some questions:

1. Some options were granted to Directors at $.075 and $.105.  Why so low?  What is the motivation to drive the price higher when these folks can cash in at current valuation?  This seems odd to me.  I suppose these guys were on the ball when they negotiated their deals.

2. This may be a dumb question that I could probably answer myself if I dug deep enough into all of the material.  However, will ask here anyway.  What is the impact on total shares outstanding when options are exercised?  Are they already accounted for in the total shares outstanding or will exercise cause further dilution?

I still believe in the overall message and continue to hold since I got in at $.12.  However, the time it is taking to increase in value and the number of execs and directors at the trough continues to be a nagging concern.
