RE:RE:BNNMichel Smedley  was referencing Pretium as one of his previous top picks. It is instructive to note that two out of three of his oicks are down and he still holds them while PVG is up 27% and he has sold. To me he seems to be a pompous a$$ but who am I to judge. He admits to missing Teck completely and still will not buy it but he holds Hud Bay which is basically a one trick pony while Teck is a diversified miner who is making a billion dollars a quarter and increasing its dividend.
This guy like sandwich makers-probably because he can understand the technology.
As to Pretium being taken out-I go back to a statement several years ago by the company founder.
It was to the effect that he was building Ptretium so he could pay dividends to the founding shareholders- I still think that statement is guiding management and I doubt that a takeover is in the cards in the short term.
