ceres need to get more efficient Ceres at Northgate is a gongshow!!!! Just wondering if anybody else on here halls to that poor excuse for an elevator. Brand new and is a complete joke. Probe can only work on 1 side which causes a massive clusterfak. Once you get on scale be prepared for a longer wait. Whenever the temp drops they are broke down. I have hauled to a lot of elevators in my time and this one is by far the worst. spxmike Jan 18, 2017 #2 Yup. Just about have had enough of that place also. My driver sat in line for 1:45 yesterday hauling canola. He said maybe 6 trucks hauling wheat went through the whole time he was there. Otherwise driveway 1 was empty and 2 was lined up with canola. I've b at them every time I go there, complaining about dedicated driveways. They claim too much contamination, I said every other elevator in the country takes multiple grains through the same pit. Told them it's complete and they're lazy. They didn't like that. I even mentioned to the sales rep that it's worse than Viterra. When they first opened there was a guy on each driveway with a 2 way radio and he radioed in whose it was, and as soon as it was weighed you could start unloading. Then helped unload and sweep up. Thats saves a couple minutes for each truck. It adds up after a 10 hour day. Now you don't see a soul on the driveway. Not sure what happened there. woodytr99 Jan 18, 2017 #3 I think there problem is the engineers ****** up in the design. They should of put in a pit that would hold a super bee. They designed it to keep the railroad happy not the farmers They can load a unit train in eight hours. It takes them eight days to take that much grain in. It is defiantly worse than Viterra was I think they should dedicate a driveways to one grain if possible. Last week lane one was wheat durum and oats lane two was canola wheat oats they ar wasting too much time cleaning out the pit. Last week there was four trucks in front of me Took one hour to get unloaded Trucks in front of me were oats canola oats canola On a side note I got four loads in today. 80 miles round trip. I guess everyone is at ag days jdinsk Jan 18, 2017 #4 Totally unacceptable! There is no reason why in a new elevator you can't open all your gates wide open. Yesterday I got 1 load of canola in and it took 5hrs not counting loading truck. 3 hrs driving and 2 hrs waiting. On my way out I counted 20 trucks in line. I never thought I would see an elevator slower than Viterra at Carnduff. Ceres actually makes Viterra Carnduff look fast. Cargill Elva and and Viterra Fairlight unload far faster!! marshall Jan 18, 2017 #5 That sounds ridiculous I Shure wouldn't be hauling there ! On the other side of the coin is bunge in altona -- once you are probed it takes probably five minutes to scale twice and dump . The only elevator where the first thing I do when getting to the pit is to go to the air release valve on the trailer and open it as you can dump both hoppers full tilt . Maybe not a full B though . Kind of cool going through with your special coded board that you wave at each station . MNfarmer85 Jan 18, 2017 #6 Sounds like your elevators suck up there for some reason, guess its because you don't get a a** load of grain in during harvest at those places when everyone wants to be moving... jdinsk Jan 20, 2017 #7 The Ceres reps caught supreme **** at Mb Ag days!! Must have got through. I C starting next week they are booking 5 trucks/hr. Hillbillyreefer Jan 20, 2017 #8 jdinsk said: Original Post The Ceres reps caught supreme **** at Mb Ag days!! I'd bet a lot of farms can unload that fast. jamesb Jan 20, 2017 #9 We have moved quite a bit of grain to Cerus since it opened and this week is the by far the worst I have seen. for us actually its been a pretty good haul for us in the past. jdinsk Jan 20, 2017 #10 Hillbillyreefer said: Original Post Tell them to get a new swing auger, the old one is worn out! But there is no reason why in a new elevator a super b cant pull in and open every gate wide open. Having the probe off to one side is sheer stupidity as well. Earlier this winter the probe broke in a huge line up. Instead of sampling old school they stopped production until the probe was fixed. wtf
