If $5 billion of assets were used as collateral for a $2 billion Line of credit, this would be one of the safest loan scenario imaginable for the bank with an extremely low chance of default. Then again, even if HCG defaulted on the $2 billion they would not lose all of their $5 billion in the process of paying back the line of credit. Your claim that the book value is 0 is clearly unfounded.
