Cortland is a designer, manufacturer, and supplier of technology advanced synthetic ropes, slings, and tethers to the aerospace & defense, marine, renewables, and other diversified industrial end markets. The Holdings segment includes investments in Clear Media Limited, Kognitiv, as well as minority investments in various public company securities and limited partnerships.

He is a co-founder of nectar loyalty program (currently owned by Aimia) and a former Aimia's executive. In his profile he mentions Nectar was sold for £368m in 2007 or (368*1.74=C$640). Divide this # by the # of shares. 640/153= $4 per share just for Nectar!
