Cyber Security With three terrorist attacks in three months, Theresa May is making a strong case for a different type of Cybersecurity – one in which government actively intervenes.
Sandvine already has Deep Package Inspection, Business Intelligence and Cyber Security that monitors network usage. It should be easy to adapt those capabilities to detect threats, censor extreme content and make informed intervention decisions.
To me, that makes Sandvine much more valuable than the $3.80 that Vector is offering. It also makes Sandvine more attractive for a technology firm (not a finance firm such as Vector) to make a competing bid.
Who shall reap the fruit of DPI?
