RE:Bought Enbridge Income FundWell, first let me say this, if you buy on yield, you are just fooling yourself. Equities with high yields are a "faade" i.e. to say, 1.) are these high yields sustainable? 2.) High yields, generally speaking drive the share price down...as you cannot have your "cake and eat it also too". In the event a dividend is reduced or completely cut, the results can be disastrous. Let's compare CNR...low yield, but great share price appreciation. Now, have a look at ENF, yes nice yield, but what is the likely hood of a substantial share price increase? And the answer is: minimal. So, in conclusion, I do in fact hold ENB , ENF, along with CNR. By all means diversify, but NEVER NEVER NEVER, repeat, NEVER buy anything because it has a high yield...that is just plain stupid.. Hope this helps.... Best.............SHUMBA
