RE:Bye Bye Canaduh oil....is the carbon tax doubling now?The carbon tax has nothing to do with this... the entire upstream oil and gas industry in AB is exempt from paying any carbon tax until at least 2023 unless your site emits over 100,000 tonnes of CO2E per year... That regulation was put in by the PC Gov btw and has been there since 2007.  The issue is the price we get for oil, which is also the fault of the PC's as they couldn't get the pipelines we needed built 10 years ago, which are the only thing that would help us now.  At least the current goverment got the kinder morgan expansion approved.  Get your facts straight before you post random nonsense.
