Whatever shortcomings Dow’s Accutrace may have, they are obviously not significant enough to preclude them from staying in the EC competition and given their size and global presence, building field support organizations if, when and where required can hardly be considered a barrier to entry.
 
And since you brought up corruption allegations ... Corruption is a “fact of life” in certain parts of the world but frowned upon in others. The term “backyard” comes to mind.
