I would recommend that you bush up on what share consolidation actually is:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_stock_split

A share consolidation creates no actually increase in value. An investor, "not knowing of the split" would NOT make a profit. They would simply have the same overall value in their account but a different number of shares at a different price.

I repeat: a share consolidation does NOT inherently create more value.
