Until that happens how can there be any substantial commitments in this sector?
Its been a very weird year, as last year at least there were at least rumours about settling a contract albeit later in the season than usual.
This year there is barely a peep from anyone on expectations with regards to where the potash price will likely come in at.
Does Belaruskali sell out the industry again this year, like last year, pushing spot prices even lower in 2017? Is $215 US the new floor going forward and producers will have to adjust accordingly?
Should be really intereseting to see where this bouncing ball lands, but one thing for sure is where ever that price does settles in at, it is the bottom line for many start up projects being economically viable or not.
just my thoughts
I would think in 6 years Encanto and India would have a lot to do with setting the World potash prices. After all the Worlds second largest importer of potash buying from its partner Encanto the Trading Company thats buying directly from its partner Muskowekwan First Nations the mine. You cant tell me that the Big Boys arent worried as $$hit of the possible spinoff effect this could / will have on global potash. Just my 2 cents n
