For me personally I try and use charts and TA to help time my exit and entry points (where I want to load up and where I want to trim the positions) and sometimes when the price trading range becomes very tight then flipping for a penny or two can still tack on extra gains to the over all performance of the trade, while waiting for the next move up (I kind of think you already know this though ;)
