But  we all have access to the same information. before we made an investment in the company or you shorted the company 
he sees the same  company and sees an opportynity to make money and reaches a different conclusion than you.  He certainly does not think its worth zero. 

you see a company worth zero.

Im betting on buffet. Im sure he's been wrong before but he's been right more than he's been wrong enough to make him the second wealthiest man on the planet.
