Contrarian: You are correct of course, but are answering the wrong quesiton. The salient question is not whether there exists global consenus on Climate Change; but rather, how can Humanity have large swaths that ignore reality. Is Zack such a 'moron' that he needs us to explain the difference between historical climate change over eons and what is happening now?  I don't think so (which is why I didn't bother responding to him). Another dynamic occuring.  Climate change is just one example of scores of bizarre dillusions people live with. Tobacco was extroadinarily effective at brandishing their truth, and still kills a Holocusts worth of lives each year. Just a few hundred years ago, slavery was seen as "benficial" to those enslaved, as the women were treated as personal sex toys.  From Genocide, to mass rape, to mass suicide events like Jones Town.  From racism, to homophobia, to mysogyny. Bottom line, you can get humanity to believe purple grape fruits cause Climate change under the right conditions. The question is, what are those conditions?
