ever increasing royalty competition ...for SAND
Still a holder, not bashing, but following recent develoments in the overall royalty sector, one has to observe, that the sector is getting more and more competative..
I think its fair to assume that with current SP of SAND & Cash used for Marianna transaction, it seems highly unlikely SAND can compete with the big 3 (now maybe big 4 after OR - Orion transaction) on the really large deals
In the smaller space, as of today two additional developments:
A)
Marlin Gold (V.MLN) with a plan to spin-out a royalty Co, and the plan to be be a high-yield royalty co
the high-yield dividend idea might give them a certain competative advantage especially negotiating paper deals with private parties.
If they can execute to really distribute 90% of free-cash-flow that might give them a good premium

Altough i am not sure if i like the Terms a 100%, still that will propably allow them to do more agressive deals
However interesting as well, is that Goldcorp did a lot of asset sales recently with always keeping a royalty. Wondering if Goldcorp generally has a plan with its quite interesting royalty package...
