RE:RE:RE:RE:How long does it take Doesn't it always say the IIROC issued the halt? A company can't tell an exchange directly to halt trading. IIROC issues the halt but it can be at the company's request.

All "material" NRs have to be shown to IIROC first so they can determine if a halt is needed or if a NR is clear enough. In this case the NR might already have been written...or at least the first draft of it. Either the company requested the halt through IIROC, or the IIROC told them to go back and revise their NR if they didn't think it was clear enough and halted trading in the meantime....or it's not just a NR and something bigger.
