RE:Nuclear construction at 25 year highThanks Trips. After nuclear construction comes nuclear fuelling and you need Uranium to do that. Nothing else works. Therefore the 25 year construction high will automatically mean increased demand for Uranium. A couple of things to ponder. These reactors are MUCH larger than the ones of 25 years ago. Average size is 1000MW. Big reactors = big reactor cores = a lot more Uranium required. Second thing (not known by many but very very important) new reactors need MUCH more Uranium in their early years than operating ones. Depending on the reactor it can be anything up to 3 times the amount. There is some nuclear physics behind it but in a nutshell fuelling a NEW reactor requires a complete coresworth of fuel AND when refueling occurs (after about 18months for a PWR) you must discard some of the fuel due to nuetron poison build up and other nuclear considerations. So those 60 reactors coming on line in the next few years are actually tyhe Uranium equivalent of 120 to 180 reactors. When that lot starts to need fuel hold on to your hats (and your Uranium shares).
Anyone selling now is (in my humble opinion) a very short sighted idiot.
