RE:RE:What Are CRH's Revenue Sources.....?

Thanks investor22....

Looks like it’s approximately 2/3 Private Plans and 1/3 Government Programs......

While I suspect Medicare will likely not be affected much (Republicans can't afford to lose those older voters), the concern may be centered more around Private Healthcare Plans....

I believe under Obamacare, private insurers are required to provide a standard set of benefits throughout the United States regardless of the type of plan a citizen chooses........Obamacare also provides quite a bit of financial assistance for people who want to purchase health insurance but can't afford it on their own, and because everyone has to have / purchase health insurance or face penalties (the “individual mandate”), a lot more people have insurance than would otherwise be the case and can thus take advantage of getting medical services / procedures they would likely not undergo if they had to pay for them out of their own pockets…….

Among other changes, Republicans are considering scrapping the individual mandate (which is highly likely to be included in the final legislation in my view), offer “more choice and lower premiums” by essentially eliminating the minimum set of Obamacare benefits - thus allowing insurers to offer people “bare bones” insurance policies at lower prices. Republicans are also likely to reduce the amount of government assistance provided to people who want to purchase health insurance……

Thus, the final legislation could result in far fewer people being covered for medical services that are currently included in their healthcare plans when those plans come up for renewal, so they’ll either have to be able to afford higher premiums for their existing coverage, or accept less coverage……This would obviously be a concern to any healthcare service provider as less people may be covered for certain procedures than are covered now, and these people may not want (or be able to afford) paying for these services out-of-pocket……

Time will tell……
