RE:short selling of the whole O&G sector out of the US???
downwithdotcom1 wrote: why are you so surprised with the continued dropping price?? a number of analysts appearing on BNN have weighed  in on short selling the whole CDN O&G sector due to a variety of issues aligning for the "perfect storm" of negativity. These issues include : possible NAFTA issues, or some kind of border tax, new sector regulations, potential carbon taxes , unfriendly gov't changes-NDP in Alberta and now a more unfriendly BC coalition that treats this sector like the very devil itself !!! Energy capital is leaving Canada due to all these unknowns and along with it , the short sale is on. HSE screwed themeselves with their waffle on the div. but thats water under the bridge - they would get roasted for any cash usage at this juncture. The painful part is a good chunk of their business is still profitable -china, indonesia BUT IT DOESN"T MATTER... bottom line not a company problem - its the sector. my 2 cents. dwdc

don't forget no oil pipeline to tidewater, not even a silver lining. The easterners will feel the pain too as exiting oil investment also hurt them indirectly.
