RE:RE:NIMBYThey have been a true thorn in the side in regards to the Patagonia area for mining. It won't last, they were empowered by the Obama administration, weak judges afraid of not being considered 'green,' and playing up unfounded issues (ie water). They know now that water is not an issue now, but that was their foundation for the past many many years so their foundation is baseless. The good thing, they won't get much support or funding from larger more national environmental groups because it's a lost cause in the State of Arizona. Rosemont is permitted, Resolution will soon be as well, especially after HR520 passes. They won't have a leg to stand on. Like Red said, a couple of tree huggers with access to the Internet in this political and economic environment , won't last. Historically the local town of Patagonia has been pro mining, they want good paying jobs, it's the new granola townies.
