RE:RE:RE:RE:$200 Plus Million cash in the bank

RE:RE:RE:RE:$200 Plus Million cash in the bankshadeson, I suggest you do a wee bit of research on the internet before flapping your gums on line: Here is a 2015 comment on sinking a shaft in SA that cost about US$13,800.00/meter. https://www.coursehero.com/tutors-problems/Project-Management/8965416-The-team-at-South-African-Gold-Mine-SA-was-tasked-with-sinking-a-200/ Here is a link indicating about $10,000/m to sink a shaft and $2,000/m to drive drifts. https://www.msaction.ms.unimelb.edu.au/file/Maths_Day_mining_problem.pdf using $5,000/m for drifts should be a conservative estimate. You have to add in Hoist construction and equipment costs, and drift equipment costs (tracked or wheeled rock drills for making blast holes at face of drift, scoop trams etc). Overall, it appears NXE will have the money on hand to sink a shaft, drive an exploration drift on 2 or 3 levels, and continue with PFS, FS and permitting.

I also think they would need to do some condemnation drilling first as they would not want to run into mineralisation with the drift. The real cost will be sinking the shaft and $100,000/ m all in is more realistic IMO. Shafting through the overburden (as you would call it, water logged sediments) and sandstone will likely require freezing of at least the top 100-150 meters. Overall the shaft and drift will cost $50-100 Million is my guess, and on top of it the cost to permanently maintain the shaft and drifts (power, air, pumping groundwater to surface etc full time and treating that water, waste rock management ). We shall see. Too bad teevee has me blocked so he cant read this post unless someone quotes it...

A 1000m deep shaft will cost no more than $15,000/m. Exploration drifts on one or more levels shouldn't cost more than $5,000/m.
