RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Buffett will walk away with $4B in Mortgages in the endwow so sick of these circular arguments.  We're just going around in cricles.  No one is claiming that Canada is special in anyway.  We all know for a fact that Canadian mortgage lending policies/practices today is very different from what caused the US housing bubble back in 2008/09.  From the general population perspective (not taking about those with billions and couldnt careless what the interest rate will be), if people walk away from their mortgage in Canada their financial circumstances must dire indeed because their entire life saving is at stake so most people will try adjust their livingstyles first and worst case refinance.
