Bidders for project's EPC jobs seek new quotes from fabricators
Contractors bidding for the main engineering, procurement and construction awards for the LNG Canada 12 million tonnes per annum liquefied natural gas project on British Columbia’s Pacific coast have asked Asian yards to quote new prices for module fabrication sub-contracts for the multi-billion dollar development.
Yard sources said the four consortia — TechnipFMC-KBR, Fluor-JGC, Saipem-CB&I and Chiyoda-Bechtel — have separately revisited yards in Asia, including nine in China and one each in Thailand, the Philippines, India and Malaysia
