Absolutely...this is possible and already happens in Canada.
Look at it from the GI perspective.
They can either not get deep sedation and do 12-13 scopes a day.
Or...they can get deep sedation and do 20 per day.
It's nothing for them to give a small portion of their earnings to the anaesthetist as they come out ahead in scneario number 2 as well.
