Hi Turk, I have been around a long time in the market and done well on average. Let's be honest they didn't get multiple bids there were only 2...

There were 2 Bidders: Vector and Francisco
The Bids were $3.80, $4.15, match, and $4.40

Honestly, they got multiple Bids (atleast 4) that we know about.

I have only been investing 25 years and have only owned maybe 200+ stocks.  I have never seen this before with a stock I have owned.  I am grateful I now have.

Some Math reminders...

Just did some quick math:
October 2006 LSE IPO at 70 pence ($1.13 CAD) till today at $4.40 (plus more to come) plus 11 cents in dividends = 285% ROI and an almost 13.5% Annualized Rate of Return.  While it was tough to own at times it only temperarily traded above $4.51 ($4.40 + .11 divi)
more fun with math to yesterdays close plus divis:
5 Years: ROI is 307% or ~33% Annualized Rate of Return
Since all time low till yesterday: Jan 1st, 2009 (68 cents): ROI = 576% or 25% Annualized Rate of Return
