Good valueYes. Supremex are doing all the right things in diversification and creating value.
But that value is not being realized in the stock price because of a few players messing with it. Why? The stock's following is too small which makes it vulnerable to market weasels.
Example: Cormark *seems* to issue upgrades or downgrades on the stock depending on their long or short position. They *seem* comicially transparent in this activity. They and others trading through Morgan Stanley and National Bank seemed to have tag teamed the stock, grinding it down in naked-short-like activity for a while on low volume.
To unlock its value Management needs to do a couple of things:
1. Change the marketmaker. Now. Yesterday.
2. Take a trip to Toronto to an investment show or two to drum up awareness on Bay St. , BNN interview etc. To create value you have to execute on your business plan AND make sure everyone knows you are doing it. Volumes say the company is sucking on the latter part.
3. Raise the dividend.
Forget the stock buy backs. If any of these small players are naked shorting, buybacks will not do much. Dividend increases and investor awareness will make the difference. Switching marketmakers disrupts and finds more experienced hands to create a better market for company shares.
All IMO.
