RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:shorts?
RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:shorts?easyC,
A fine piece written by Roy-Byrne you posted. Agree with all the points he listed for investors to have an initial screen check of potential investment targets.
Just want to add a few comments:
- A small float is better than a large float as far as the rate of SP appreciation is concerned (supply/demand), unless the company with a high float is considered grossly undervalued, as in the case of AZX for which the Market Cap does not reflect has the ounces of Au that the company has and will potentially achieved through drilling.
AZX still need to expand its drilling campaign. An additional drill to bring the total number of rigs to about 3(?) still does not get AZX out of the "little league" (compared to some 20 rigs, a 400,000m drill program, that OSK currently has in the region, this is big league). But this is an unfair comparison since OSK has $100Ms cash at its disposal and AZX only has a few $M at a time). If AZX can expand Orenada RE to 2-3Moz range in one year or so, then the Market Cap (and SP) would jump many-fold from the current levels.
- Growing the ounces by drilling out the deposit, like what AZX is doing, is a conventional/ethical/ and acceptable way of making money (equally) for investors, including retails and millionaire Sprott.
- Short-selling a stock scheme, selling in large volume with the intention to make the SP fall for buying back in low, is unethical in my book. There are other schemes, but whatever the scheme, if the ulterior motive is to purposely make own gains at the expense of fellow investors then it's no good. This view may be considered as old-fashioned, but there are many ways to make decent clean money. Besides, it's perfectly Okay to share the wealth with fellow investors.
