RE:Question to the old folks JYD /CRUDE... I can't remember the exact sequence of events. I had bought in a few months earlier at about 10 cents. They drilled a well and had some indication of flow, but it was a very limited amount and I believe that they later determined it was sustainable (drilling fluid flowback?). I think they stuck the drill when they tried to sidetrack that well and spent several months and a lot of money trying to retrieve it (not sure they ever did). The stock went to 30 cents and then took a tumble - SHP was broke at that point and had to issue shares at the lower valuation. I recall being rather pissed off that they didn't try to raise money immediately to keepa good cushion in the bank when the share price was up. With the subsequent opposition to fracking, and a farm out agreement that never went anywhere, they ultimately lost a large lease position of similar acreage to what they now hold.
This is all based upon a vague recollection as my shares are down 95% (trying to block out my memory of that), though I continue to hold them. At one time before losing the othe leases they had a stated recoverable oil reserve of 1 billion barrels. - guessing that is half or less with their current land position.
Haven't posted on this stock since about 2011, but check in every once in a while to see what if anything is happening. Don't guarantee I am completely accurate since it has been a while.
