Uganda contract now down to the wire (Sept)Any reason why no one commented on this post? Or someone did and I missed it?
https://www.stockhouse.com/companies/bullboard/v.euo/eurocontrol-technics-group-inc?postid=26492953 Is another apparently undisclosed GFI ownership situation not conducive to the largely silent “who cares about the past” group?
Just in case someone is interested but doesn’t know where to start in terms of where the Uganda contract stands, here is a somewhat dated assessment of the Ugandan Auditor General:
https://www.oag.go.ug/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Fuel-Marking.pdf It doesn’t look kindly at the 2012 “renewal” and it certainly raises interesting questions as to who owes whom and why.
I have not been able to find any information regarding this contract expiry and/or continuation, tender, whatever. Maybe someone here can do better than me?
If you then look at Uganda’s dependence on fuel supply from Kenya and the fact that Authentix seems to have a firm grip on the fuel marker business in Kenya, it begs the question who has the upper hand in Uganda. A concerted effort would seem to make sense but then, Kenya is the much bigger player and Authentix seems to have a lot less problems.
On a lighter note ...
