Of all the ways to make huge capital gains in natural resource stocks, few can match the power of getting into a big shale field in its early stages of discovery.
For example, over the past seven years, the names “Bakken,” “Permian,” and “Eagle Ford” have become legendary stories in the quest for oil wealth.
These are the names of the three biggest, richest shale fields in the United States. Untapped by oilmen for decades, they are now staggering in size and richness.
Together, the Bakken (in North Dakota), the Permian (in Texas), and the Eagle Ford (also in Texas) produced 4.3 million barrels of oil per day in 2015. This total would make them the world’s 4th largest oil producer.
These three fields revolutionized United States oil production in a short amount time. And of course, they’ve made some people very rich. For example…
In 2009, Kodiak Oil & Gas was a virtually-unknown small cap oil producer. But what investors didn’t know was that Kodiak was a very early player in the now-legendary Bakken Shale. As Kodiak struck rich deposits there, shares soared 8,400% before it was bought out.
Or, consider the case of Brigham Exploration. In 2009, it was just another oil company on the stock exchange. Then, it too struck rich deposits in the Bakken. Shares soared 3,200% before the company was bought out.
You also have Resolute Energy, a tiny oil company that hit a sweet spot in the Permian shale back in 2015. Shares soared 1,700% in just over a year.
You also have early shale player XTO Energy rising 5,800%… Carrizo Oil & Gas enjoying a 6,000% return… and Earthstone Energy climbing 7,300%, all thanks to shale discoveries.
Since shale deposits are so new, so rich, and so unexplored, early investors in them can earn stupendous capital gains.
For example, $10,000 invested in Kodiak at the right time would have become more than $800,000.
But I’m not writing to share a history lesson. I’m writing about “big scores” in shale fields because of the future, not the past.
We know being an early stakeholder in an oil-rich region about to be discovered is an incredible way to generate wealth. It’s been a sure money-maker for over 100 years. Any lucky Texas family can attest to that… as well as 5,000 Saudi princes.
That’s why, at the Katusa Research office, we monitor over three dozen shale formations that could eventually be labeled “bigger than the Bakken” or “better than the Permian.”
We keep a proprietary database on these formations, most of which are unknown to even most professional investors. Very little modern exploration work has been performed on them.
You could say that all of our tracking and site visits amount to “hunting elephants.”
We’re looking for potential Big Scores that can turn a $25,000 investment into $1,000,000 in a short time. In the 1840s, resource speculators were smart to look for the next Big Score in gold. These days, it’s shale.
I believe that right now, investors have the same opportunity as investors had in the Bakken back in 2010… an opportunity to claim an early stake in North America’s next monster oil field.… and reap enormous capital gains as a result.
I believe in this story so much that I’m betting millions of dollars of my own money on it. I’m confident this will be one of the most important investment opportunities we will ever see.
The next Big Score is going to be made in the Montney Shale.
While U.S. shale fields like the Eagle Ford get most of the press, the Montney is like the Eagle Ford… but on steroids.
And although you might have heard about the Montney before, it’s not a prolific field right now. Thanks to its unique geology, it has taken drillers a long time to “unlock’ the Montney’s potential. It has required different drilling techniques than other shale fields. It has also taken quite a while to build the infrastructure needed to transport its production.
But very recently, drilling teams discovered the “key” to unlocking the Montney’s potential… and now we know it is capable of incredible production.
I’ve spent years tracking the Montney. I’ve visited the region over a dozen times in the past few years. I know the CEOs… the geologists… and the guys working on the ground there. I’ve spent many hours studying its unique geology. I have a proprietary database of all the companies and assets in the region. I’ve invested millions there in the past, and have millions invested there now.
All the time and energy I’ve put into tracking the region has paid off… and I’ve found the ideal Montney stock.
It is the ultimate way to invest in North America’s next giant shale field.
This company is small. It is less than 1% of the size of Chevron. Therefore, it has massive growth potential.
This small firm is managed by a world-class individual with a great track record of success.
I know the guy personally. I’ve seen up close how he’s a brilliant, hardworking guy who will create value for his shareholders.
Just as importantly, this individual owns large amounts of company stock. He has a lot of skin in the game. His interests are aligned with shareholders.
This company owns a large chunk of acreage in the Montney’s richest area. All of the land near this small company’s holdings have been staked out by large oil companies.
But because development of the Montney is so early, this company is virtually unknown to even professional investors.
Apart from a group of connected people in the resource industry, almost no one knows about this opportunity.
You won’t see it mentioned on the financial news. You won’t see it on the front page of the Wall Street Journal.
However, I believe it’s just a matter of time before the world finds out about this company… and drives its share price at least 200% higher.
This company is my first “best buy” stock. My second one is an incredible way to take a position in a natural resource with huge upside potential…
