RE:Dream ScenarioSome interesting scenarios there TV. Areva already has part ownership in Cameco's operations already. Cigar Lake for example is owned by Cameco (50.025%), AREVA Resources Canada Inc. (37.1%), Idemitsu Canada Resources Ltd. (7.875%) and TEPCO Resources Inc. (5.0%) and is operated by Cameco. Areva therefore already has a great big chunk of supply coming from Cigar. But I could see them wanting to replace their mines in Niger which are almost tapped out and pose huge security risks for them. CCo can rmp up supply from Cigar if needed plus they have other resources they can bring on line fairly quickly. But point taken that NXE is a very lucrative and attractive strategic asset and all kinds of scenarios can play out with Uranium at such a poor price.
It remains my view though that NXE will develop this unless the offer price is too good to turn down. Everything has its price as they say and NXE is no exception. I would like to see it develop as a competitor for CCO but lots of investment required to even get close to that giant.
Good thoughts though - we shall see what the fall brings.
