My TakeI was a stockholder much longer than a SH poster. I traded SBM in the beginning (note: NOT flipped), then began accumulating when it dropped precipitously to below a nickel. I've participated in 4 private placements and exercised options. I have not sold a single share since. The transition came as a result of getting to understand the science behind the company. Through the years I've spoken to most of the major players in the company, i.e. Howard Verrico and Neil Belenke, met some of them in person, and even lunched with Attila Hajdu in Philly at a BIO-conference. Quite frankly, I liked all of them. Because of the financial aspects of my connection with SBM, the most exposure has been to Chris Hopton, the CFO, who I believe is as honest as the day is long. Perhaps these relationships are the reason I get upset when I hear mindless buffoons recklessly throwing around unsubstantiated accusations and innuendo. There are real, competent people here who have invested plenty and continue to push this company forward. The mere reality that we're still around as a penny stock on the Venture and in transformational negotiations of any kind (yes, I believe) is a testament to that dedication. Nothing is handed to you on a silver platter. Nothing. Remember also, it takes a few weeks to grow a pumpkin, but decades to cultivate a mighty oak. Hang in there!
