As you can see by mikoola72's question about the Auditor's involvement in this fiasco, if indeed the Annuals for both companies do have bogus numbers in them, the real question then becomes, who did in fact know the real numbers? Well, one party who did have full access to the real numbers back in August of 2011 was Peyto Energy, who ended up buying the New Open Range in July, 2012...
As you can see, this scam has many, many fingers in the pie. The beauty of many fingers in the pie has not be lost on the lawyers doing the suing...
A fellow poster told me this, not too long ago. "It never ceases to amaze me to see smart and successful people doing really stupid things because they have been overcome by greed". Very true words, fellow PSN poster...
