RE:Mike question for you, or anyone else for that matter
RE:Mike question for you, or anyone else for that matterThey will test on site all the stuff they can. Density readings, gravity readings. Things are not destructive to the core.
They will have a sampling program adhereing to some QA/QC geology approved program.
I believe each sample needs to be about 20 kg's in size for SRC caustic results.
I don't know if they split the core or just take certain small lengths of total core to send to the lab.
They can do that anytime..once the core has been logged, analyzed, tested, etc. They will probalby do some geotech readings on all core...not just the bigger core.
Sending the caustics will be one of the last things they do.
Unless it is a rush..they will probably let the samples build up and then send a good chunk together.
SRC is basically queue based as far as I know. So you wouldn't want to piece meal the samples to them. You want to reserve a stretch of time and send the samples in 2 or 3 batches.
We won't get caustic results until later....Unless they find something they want to flashtrack...like the DD33 end of hole material. It doesn't sound like a lot of core...so maybe they will send some caustics after they drill the second hole into the area.
LONG...PGD
