Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:Bruce is running out of excuses....

RE:Bruce is running out of excuses....Nope, Bruce said that the lack of due diligence on the part of the TMX was a factor in Americans taking postions in Canopy. Subtle difference, but important.

Regarding Canopy attracting partners in Florida, Arizona, and Ohio, Canopy doesn't do business there, so a relative comparison of the quality of partners isn't possible. The deal with Nuuvera is great. So are the partnerships Canopy has formed. If you want to talk about the relative merits of those partnerships, the ones in jurisdictions where Canopy and Aphria both operate, we can do that.

You say Canopy hasn't attracted large investment firms. When Bruce talks about 3 or 4 locking up 9-10 percent of his float, did you think he was pulling that number out of his bunghole? Obviously Canopy is attracting large US investment firms, but they can't pull the trigger until the TMX has done what they consider to be it's "due diligence".

You think Bruce needs to resign because the company is off track, fair enough, we can talk about that too, i have lots of beer in the fridge.

Monteviale wrote: Not to belabor the point, but Bruce did argue on BNN yesterday that it is harder for him to raise capital because his competitors are participating in the U.S.. Nothing could be further from the truth.

In reality, if what he said was true, about his competitors doing business in illegal jurisdictions, then it should be easier for him to attract US funds.

Large U.S. investment firms, given the choice, are more likely to invest in companies not engaging in illegal acts.

If Aphria is allowed to engage in an illegal market, then Canopy would increasie its chances of landing a large US investment firm.

The fact that Canopy can't attract large investment firms has nothing to ddo with Aphria.

Just ask yourself why Canopy hasn't been able to attract the same quality partners that Aphria did in Arizona, Florida, Ohio  and most recently Leamington?

Bruce knows what everyone else is going to soon find out.  Canopy will not be the first choice of large US investment firms.  Bruce needs to stop blaming his comeptitors for his lack of success and neds to resign for the benefit of all Canopy shareholders.  Canopy needs to appoint someone who can get the company back on track.
