I agree with your thoughts for the most part until you said your brilliant contact knows specifically who bot into the PP. IMHO no way, no how, they have a copy of the subscriber list or have seen anything otther than what will prove to be a publicly filed document.
I've been ghosting here for a while and had to provide comment on this topic as that is the highest level of intell and other than what gets posted in the filing such info is highly confidential and subject to privacy rules as I'm sure all here can appreciate. Funny in that its only possible within the realms of maybe 10 people in the Co. and the law firm.
Should your contact have such loose lips probably a good idea for you to read them the riot act. I have a sneaking hunch as to who you might be referring to so no problem I'll pass it along to key internal parties who will do a quick check on who doesn't understand the meaning of "loose lips sink ships". No offense intended but I pride myself on my reputation and so should your contact whether anonymous or not.
