RE:RE:RE:Aphria is having a celebration on their board.

RE:RE:RE:Aphria is having a celebration on their board.Dilligent Son, my apologize, I thought we were talking the Cannabis sector and not Coca-Cola and Pepsi.  Yes, if Coke folded tomorrow it would impact Pepsi sales.  However, I doubt it would have impacted Pepsi 130 years ago when Coke was just starting out.

I should have been clearer.  I meant financial performance by Aphria and Canopy when it comes to comparing certain financial indicators.  Both comapnies are managed by different individuals and how one company is managed doesn't effect the performance of the other company "internally ie.  CGS, admin and general expense, etc.

By way of example, Aphria's CGS has nothing to do with Canopy's CGS numbers.  CGS is more a reflection on growing methods and management decsions of each company.  It doesnt matter if Aphria's CGS are high or low, it will have no impact on CGS reported by Aphria.

However marketing decsions of each company may impact the other's sales.

Let me know if you need me to further clarify my position.

Monteviale wrote: Blaine, I don't think most are celebrating.  Performance of one comapny should have little or no effect on the performance of another comapny.  In fact, the market seems to be responding somewhat favorably to earnings report (currently up 1.4%).

I know I took a lot of heat by posting on Canopy's board this weekend, but I think shareholders of all companies can benefit by sharing of information.

We should all be working together to make sure accurate information is dissminated bewteen shareholders.  This way all shareholders can make their own informed decsion as to what they want to do.

I think its informative for Aphria shareholds to post on this baord and vice versa.  That way we are exposed to different views.

The numbers are what they are.  Now it is up to all of us to decide what they mean and whether we should buy or liquidate.  We all want the same thing.  To make money from our investment.
